Provides supervision, instruction, direct treatment services, and oversees operations of specific programs or services. Position may also be assigned department-wide responsibilities.
Education: Master's Degree in a related field.
Experience: Supervisory experience in a social setting and two years experience working in the mental health field.
One of the following licenses required: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW).
Child, Minority, or Developmental Disabilities Mental Health Specialist designation preferred.
Current Washington State driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage; and a current CPR/First Aid card, or obtained within 45 days of hire.
FBI fingerprints required if have lived in Washington State less than the last 3 consecutive years.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Knowledge of the most current DSM available and multi-axial evaluation; knowledge of RCWs and WACs as related to the provision of services; knowledge of culturally relevant resources available including services for monolingual, non-English speaking consumers and enrolled Native American consumers; ability to deliver advanced evaluative techniques of personality, academic, behavioral and cognitive domains, which supports a comprehensive treatment action plan; knowledge of personnel and systems management approaches; ability to conduct public relations by phone, in person, in presentations, while hosting visitors, and through appropriate media sources; and knowledge of, and training with, chemical abuse. For placement program supervisors, knowledge of child placing system in the state, and ability to effectively coordinate with state social workers to best meet both the treatment and placement needs of children in the program.
