Engineer IV – Water Resources
$30.55- $39.60 (DOQ) per hour, plus benefits
There is one opening for an Engineer IV - Project Engineer in the Public Services Department – Water Resources Division. Serves as technical lead for complex Surface Water engineering projects providing senior level technical and professional expertise. Acts as the technical support person to Yakima County elected and senior staff officials on design of flood control and storm water facilities at varying levels of detail (preliminary to final); including Drainage Improvement District facilities; Levees, hydraulic, hydrologic and storm water modeling; and managing contracts for consultants and project construction. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and 4 years of professional engineering experience including storm water and flood control; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Required: Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Washington.
